Biography
Hany Takla is the Founder and President of St. Shenouda the Archimandrite Coptic Society. He holds a Bachelor of Science from UCLA and a Master of Arts in Coptic Studies from Macquarie University, Australia. Hany is an instructor of the Coptic language in its Bohairic and Sahidic dialects at UCLA and Claremont University. He serves as Editor for the Journal of Coptic Studies, the St. Shenouda Quarterly, and Coptica. He has hundreds of articles and publications and is a prominent speaker in the field of Coptic Studies. His research interests include the Coptic language, Coptic Old Testament, Coptic and Arab Christian manuscripts, development of the Coptic Liturgical services and other topics in Coptic Studies.
