Myrto Theocharous, Ph.D.

Biography

Myrto Theocharous (Ph.D. University of Cambridge) was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, and is currently a lecturer of Hebrew and Old Testament at the Greek Bible College in Athens, Greece. She is the author of Lexical Dependence and Intertextual Allusion in the Septuagint of the Twelve Prophets: Studies in Hosea, Amos and Micah (LHBOTS 570; New York: T & T Clark, 2012), a commentary on Amos and Habakkuk for the Central Eastern European Bible Commentary, a commentary on the book of Deuteronomy for Zondervan Academic and various other articles in both Greek and English. She is also a member of the editorial board of the Bulletin of Biblical Research and a board member of the Hellenic Bible Society.

Myrto also serves as the president of New Life, an organization against trafficking and sexual exploitation in Athens, Greece
